The UK's wetlands are home to a rich variety of bird species, including internationally important populations of wildfowl and waders. Raptors such as ospreys and marsh harriers are benefiting from habitat restoration and active conservation, while reedbeds and scrub provide excellent nest sites and songposts for a variety of songbirds, especially warblers.
