More than just a River

Rivers play a vital role in supplying water, drainage, soil formation and recreation. They hold internationally important fish stocks and harbour a rich variety of flora and fauna. The last decade has seen a marked improvement in the water quality of the UK's rivers, which are now at their healthiest since the Industrial Revolution, providing popular fishing destinations and a home for otters, salmon and water voles. 2020VISION's main river projects were the Thames Headwaters Conservation Credits Project and habitat management in the River Tweed catchment area.
