More than just an Urban green space

More than 90% of the UK's population lives in cities. Green urban spaces provide a place for relaxation and recreation and act as a green lung and sustain a range of wildlife. They keep air quality and temperature under control, and combat flash flooding. 2020VISION's urban assignments included the Birmingham and Black Country Living Landscapes Project and the Greater Thames Futurescapes Project, aiming to encourage people to use and enjoy urban green spaces and to make more space for wildlife outside of existing nature reserves.
