Stories - Philip Stephen Q & A (23) More files...
Phil Stephen comes from a long line of fishermen, and began trawling at 16. But he soon realised that most people's view of fishing - picturesque harbour scenes, calm waters and beautiful sunsets - is misguided. So he set about trying to capture the reality. He is now not only skipper on two modern trawlers, but a successful photographer as well. This question-and-answer feature is accompanied by Phil's own breathtaking images, portraying the raw extremes of life at sea.
