Between April 2009 and September 2011 Jurgen and Stella Freund undertook an 18 month photojournalistic expedition into the heart of the Coral Triangle, to investigate the connections between the wildlife and peoples of this region, and the threats they face. The project was partially supported by WWF, and more than 2000 pictures from the project are available from Nature Picture Library. The Coral Triangle lies between Indonesia, the Philippines and New Guinea and is the world's greatest centre of marine biodiversity. This gallery presents a cross-section of the amazing riches of this varied collection, and more specific image sets are available on request.
