The mere mention of the Caribbean conjures up images of lush green islands, stunning white beaches fringed with palm trees and a tropical, turquoise sea. Although these islands play host to magnificent species of mammals, birds and reptiles, many of the pristine wildlife sites are in the sea. And thanks to the sheer diversity of marine life and the warm, crystal-clear waters, they are not hard to find. Whether beginner or pro, divers and snorkellers can see countless numbers of colourful reef fish as well as sharks, dolphins, turtles and whales. With the opportunity to explore shallow reefs, coral cays, drop-offs, tunnels, shipwrecks and sink holes, the Caribbean is one of the most elite diving locations in the world.
