The “Severn Princess”, hauled onto dry-land under the Brunel Bridge in Chepstow. Wales, UK, 2009. She carried motor passengers across the River Severn from Aust to Beachley from 1926 until she became redundant on the opening of the Severn Bridge 40 years later. The Severn Princess Restoration Group bought her in 1999 for £1.05, citing plans to re-launch her. Given her condition she is unlikely to sail again, but with restoration planned it is hoped that she will form a key part of part of the Bridge Space Project.
