Based in Cornwall, where he grew up, Ross Hoddinott has been fascinated by wildlife from a very early age. He won his first photographic prize aged 11, in the BBC's Countryfile competition, and when 16, won the prestigious Young Wildlife Photographer of the Year Award in the international competition organised by BBC Wildlife Magazine and the Natural History Museum, London.
He is now one of the UK's leading outdoor photographers, specialising in macro work and scenic landscapes of the South West. A regular contributor to a number of magazines including Outdoor Photography and Digital SLR Photography, he is also the author of five photography books.
