Eric Medard is based in the Mayenne region of North West France and has been taking nature images for 25 years. Bats and other nocturnal species have long been a particular fascination. For the last 2 years, he has been using infra-red photography techniques to take images of European wildlife at night, without causing disturbance to his subjects. Many of Eric's images are taken close to his home and show familiar creatures, providing rare insights into their nocturnal behaviour, but he has also travelled as far as Slovenia and Sweden to photograph beavers and brown bears.
