Tsansa shrunken head, Shuar, Indian Ecuador.
South America Jivaro Shuar tribe used to shrink head of enemies killed in battle - first they removed the skull and boiled it to shrink the head. Then the eyes and lips were sewn up to trap and paralyze the spirit. Heads were shrunk to about 1/3 of original size.
