Fossil Trilobite (Triarthus eatoni) showing rare pyrites preservation of the limbs and antennae. From the late Ordovician 'Beecher's Bed' of Oneida County, New York, USA. The site is named after Charles Emerson Beecher who worked at the site in the 1890's and used the specimens to describe the soft anatomy of these trilobites. The site is one of only a handful worldwide where such remarkable preservation of trilobite limbs occurs.
