Highlights of images uploaded to the NPL site in Novemer and December 2013 included rare western lowland gorillas from Anup Shah and Fiona Rogers, weird Japanese giant salamanders from Yukihiro Fukuda, more endangered Amur leopards, and a wealth of great coverage on dolphins, penguins, albatrosses, seabirds from Christmas Island and the dramatic eruption of Plosky Tobalchik volcano in Kamchatka. New contributors David Pattyn and Paul Stewart joined us in 2012 and have added a new dimension to our collection with graphic European wildlife and illustrations of many extinct species.
