Rewilding Europe
Linked to the Wild Wonders of Europe project, here we showcase their material from the Rewilding Europe initiative, which is designating ten rewilding areas across Europe, in a process which started in 2009. Working with local partners and communities, this organisation aims to make Europe a wilder place, with much more space for wildlife, wilderness and natural processes, bringing back the variety of life for us all to enjoy and exploring new ways for people to earn a fair living from the wild. So far, 8 areas have been designated. Rewilding Europe is also active in bringing back the European wild horse and the aurochs into their proper habitats. We will be adding further material and photo galleries to the site from all the Rewilding projects as they develop.
