More than just some Hills

Uplands trap and distribute water and are the source of most of our fresh water. They provide a natural habitat for recreation and are a refuge for rare wildlife. Hills, moors and mountains occupy 40% of the UK's land area and host 100 million day visits a year. 75 % of the world's remaining heather moorlands are in the UK. 2020VISION's mountain projects visited Scotland, Wales and England to document upland restoration in the Scottish Highlands, the Cambrian Mountains and the Lake District.
