Benoit trained at the Nautical Institute of Brittany in Concarneau from 1986 - 1988, and from here began working as a journalist for a variety of marine publications. Gradually he began to make a name for himself as a sailing photographer and has since worked alongside many famous skippers, documenting their days at sea. His portfolio features a wide variety of sailing and landscape images from in and around Brittany.
