Project veterinarian for the Bombay Natural History Society, Dr Devojit Das, conducting a post-mortem examination on the corpse of an Oriental white-backed vulture (Gyps bengalensis) at the Vulture Conservation Breeding Centre near Pinjore in Haryana, India. The vulture was found to have died from visceral gout, the result of diclofenac poisoning after having fed on treated carrion. March 2005.
