Nick Upton is a behavioural zoologist by training and has been making wildlife films and taking stills for over 20 years. His diverse interests, including a passion for lesser known, overlooked or threatened creatures and cultures is reflected in his films and photography. After working with Sir David Attenborough for 4 years at the BBC as Series Researcher on The Trials of Life, he has produced many award winning films through independent companies for the BBC and major broadcasters worldwide with subjects ranging from ants, beetles and vampire bats to wolves, beavers and indigenous peoples. Recently, he's worked extensively for the RSPB Film Unit making films about cranes in Europe and the UK, taking many photos of these charismatic birds along the way and has contributed many insect and
