Reportages - Saving the Ethiopian Wolf (133) Images supplémentaires...
In the remote highlands of Ethiopia lives the rarest canid on Earth: the Ethiopian Wolf (Canis simensis). Today, less than 450 of these elegant animals survive. Listed as Endangered by the IUCN on account of its small numbers, fragmented range and the risk of disease transmission from domestic dogs.

NPL photographer Will Burrard-Lucas travelled to the Bale Mountains, home to the largest remaining wolf population, with the aim of photographing the wolves and documenting the work of Oxford University's Ethiopian Wolf Conservation Programme (EWCP), which seeks to protect wolves through vaccination and community outreach programs.
