Ocelot (Felis pardalis) being released after having a radio collar put on, Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge, Texas, USA. The largest known population of wild ocelots in the USA lives on this refuge. Biologists learn about the health and range of the animals by periodic trapping and monitoring. There have been plans to link the refuge with another ocelot population in Mexico by way of a wildlife corridor. This would be at risk if a border wall is constructed. ILCP RAVE January/February 2009
