Régulièrement les photographes de NPL se distinguent dans les compétitions internationales de photographie nature et ce fut à nouveau le cas en 2020. Sergey Gorshkov a remporté le grand prix au Wildlfe Photographer of the Year pour son Tigre de Sibérie et Ripan Biswas la catégorie portfolio pour ses fourmis tisserandes. L'aigle de Markus Varesvuo a remporté le grand prix du Glanzlichter. Ben Cranke of a reçu le premier prix dans la catégorie "Oiseaux" du concours GDT du photographe européen de l'année, tandis que Pal Hermansen, Jo-Anne McArthur, Doug Gimesy, Nick Upton, Magnus Lundgren, Franco Banfi, Graham Eaton et David Pattyn ont également étés primés.
