Le photographe anglais Danny Green, photographie le monde naturel depuis plus de 25 ans. Toujours en Canon, il a connu les pellicules argentiques avant de passer définitivement à la technologique numérique. Son approche de la photographie de la nature résulte d'un long processus, il peut parfois passer des mois, voire des années à travailler un projet particulier. Il a remporté de nombreux prix dans les concours de photographie animalière les plus prestigieux au monde. Pendant sept ans, Danny a travaillé sur un projet visant à photographier les régions arctiques et subarctiques du nord de l'Europe avant de publier son livre «The Long Journey North» (Un long voyage vers le nord). Danny a publié au National Geographic un reportage sur le macareux moine, dans le numéro de juin 2014 – dont il est particulièrement fier. Il lui a fallu 5 ans pour le réaliser et visiter de nombreuses colonies du Royaume-Uni, d'Islande et de Norvège à la recherche d'images de cet oiseau emblématique. "C’était l’un des projets les plus difficiles que j’ai entrepris, tant les exigences et les normes de National Geographic sont élevées !»
