Description
Carolyn Donovan (certified emergency critical care veterinary nurse from the Peninsula Vet Emergency & Referral Hospital) counts the faecal pellets from a koala (Phascolarctos cinereus) in care and being treated for burns at a mobile wildlife triage centre at Bairnsdale,, which was set up to treat animals as a result of the bushfires that have been ravaging Australian late 2019/early 2020. The number of pellets gives a good idea of how well their digestion is going. 70-100 pellets are a good figure.Bairnsdale, Victoria, Australia. January 2020.
