Dotted bee fly (Bombylius discolour) female hovering while flicking its tail down to "bomb" eggs onto the ground near the nest entrance of a Yellow-legged mining bee (Andrena flavipes), its main host, Wiltshire field margin, April, UK. NB Both parasite and host species seem to be expanding their range further north in the UK
