The Indian photography of Axel Gomille is showcased in his latest book, India �^ Land of Tigers and Temples, published by John Beaufoy Publishing.

Axel has visited India many times over the last twenty years and is fascinated by the unique connection between nature and culture, which is so characteristic of this country. From the forests of Ranthambore to the rocky landscapes of Karnataka and the dunes of the Thar Desert, Axel portrays the magic of this diverse country and its unique wildlife, including Bengal tigers, the elusive Sloth bear and the Demoiselle cranes which congregate each winter around the village of Khichan in Rajasthan. He also visits temples and palaces that recall the splendour of India’s past and documents the Kumbh Mela, the largest religious festival in the world
