Portrait of 'Link', a rescued eastern grey kangaroo (Macropus gigantea) on the burnt grounds Wallabia Wildlife Shelter.
Link, two of his fellow eastern grey kangaroos, some wombats and a possum, were evacuated when the 2019/20 bushfires threatened, and then finally destroyed all their enclosures and the owner's home. The owners and managers, Rena and Joseph are now back at Goongerah, rebuilding their own home and the wildlife shelters.
