Description
A Grey-headed Flying-fox (Pteropus poliocephalus) in flight just after having taken a flying high speed belly-dip into the Yarra river at the end of a very hot day. They do this to wet their fur which both acts as a form of evaporative cooling and allows them to quench their thirst by lapping water of it.
