Frank Krahmer's approach to photography is much influenced by his experiences of watercolour painting. With his camera he aims to catch mood through lighting just as he would ^paint with light^. Frank has travelled widely and is particularly attracted to extreme landscapes like deserts, rainforests and arctic biotopes. He is a member of the Society of German Animal/Nature Photographers (GDT).
His missions for Wild Wonders of Europe led him to the small but splendid location of Lac Blanc high above Chamonix in France, where the gigantic scenery of the Mont Blanc mountains may be photographed perfectly reflected in the lake, and to the Tre Cime di Lavaredo in the Italian Dolomites - one of the world's best known symbols of the European Alps.
