Grzegorz Lesniewski (Poland) is an environmental biologist and dedicated birdwatcher. At the beginning of the nineties he started guiding foreign birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts in eastern Poland. He started photographing nature in 1994, at first mainly birds and then other subjects. He mainly concentrates on the native wildlife of Poland and is always trying to capture interesting animal behaviour and interactions between species. He was named Photographer of the Year 2005 by the Union of Polish Wildlife Photographers. For the past two years, Gregory has been concentrating on photographing big Polish predators in the wild - wolf, bear and lynx.


Grzegorz was the only Polish photographer to take part in the Wild Wonders of Europe project. He documented marmots in the Hohe Taue
