^I was lucky enough to get WWoE missions on two fantastic species - the musk ox and wild reindeer - both of which have been around since the time of the mammoth. These missions took place in Norway, a country which still provides these animals with vast open areas of wild tundra, even if their traditional migration routes are now blocked by artificial boundaries such as roads and cities. One sad note that affected me deeply is that Norwegian people do not tolerate big predators. Better not be a bear or wolf in Norway, the slightest trace of one and it is tracked and killed. The French naturalist and philosopher Robert Hainard said ^A forest without a bear is not a true forest^ I think the same can be said for tundra and taiga.^
