Juan Carlos Munoz has been a freelance professional nature photographer since 1990 when he finished his degree in Biology. His interest in ecology and nature inspired him to use photography as a vehicle of expression and he has never looked back.



As well as photographing in most areas of Spain, he has travelled to all seven continents to work in remote places and document endangered species in their habitats. His images have been successful in various prestigious competitions such as the BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year, Nature's Best, GDT, Asferico, and Nature Namur. His images have been widely published in Spanish magazines and newspapers, as well as internationally. He has written and provided photos for thirteen books.
